Amanda Seafoods has been awarded three accolades at the Foodservice Product of the Year Awards 2024.
The company’s 555 Amanda Salmon Roulade not only scooped Gold in the Foodservice Fish category but was also named The Foodservice Product of the Year 2024 at The Quality Food Awards. Additionally, its Amanda Cod Roe Sausage secured a Silver award in the same category.
The awards, now in their 45th year, were hosted on November 7th to celebrate the finest food products in the UK market. Judged on key criteria such as ingredients, taste, aroma, packaging, and value for money, the competition recognised excellence across categories ranging from beverages and cakes to meat and vegan alternatives.
The standout winner, 555 Amanda Salmon Roulade, was praised for its innovative production using waste salmon particles, contributing to sustainability by tackling food waste. The judges commended the roulade’s versatility, being used in a range of dishes from burgers and sandwiches to salads and pasta.
Commenting on the product, the judging panel remarked: “The 555 Salmon Roulade has a very clean ingredient desk, an interesting use of green tea as a preservative, and high fish content. It has a long shelf life and is good value for money.”
Both the Salmon Roulade and Cod Roe Sausage are available in ambient formats, ranging from 500g to 2.5kg, with a shelf life of nine months.
Speaking about the win, Lars Fey, export director at Amanda Seafoods, said: “For Amanda Seafoods, winning these awards means a lot as we expand into new segments of the UK foodservice market besides our traditional fish and chip shop market. As well as showing our commitment to quality this recognition will also help raise awareness of our product range and our company.”
