Following the announcement this month of the Fry Awards 2026, which celebrate the 50 Best Fish & Chip Takeaways and the 10 Best Fish & Chip Restaurants, Pukka has revealed the winners of its point-of-sale (POS) and pies giveaway.
The competition offered one overall prize, along with ten additional prizes, giving those outlets that won a Fry Award the opportunity to receive both product support and point-of-sale materials to help drive sales.
The overall prize winner, receiving a range of new stand-out outdoor and indoor signage, and five free cases of Pukka Pies, is The Codfather in Wakefield, Leeds. Ten further businesses have been awarded POS kits featuring serving tools and promotional posters, and three free cases of pies:
Ainsworth’s Fish & Chips
Churchill’s Fish & Chips in Hazlemere, Bar Hill & Langney
Fiddlers Elbow
Fintans Fish & Chip Co
Hikary’s fish bar
Hiks
Lighthouse Fisheries Of Flamborough
Town Street Fryer

Isaac Fisher, managing director at Pukka, comments: “Congratulations to all the operators who achieved a Fry Award in 2026. The standard of entries was exceptionally high this year, reflected in the pass rates of 97% for takeaways and 96% for restaurants. As a way for us to say well done and to help them drive additional sales, all qualifying businesses were entered into a random prize draw and 11 lucky winners were selected.
“Our new point-of-sale is modern and eye-catching and we hope, combined with the free pies, the prize package will help create noise, increase footfall and boost profits.
“The fish and chip industry means a great deal to us – it’s where Pukka’s roots lie – so we’re delighted to be associated with businesses that perform at such a high level.”
Pukka offers a range of pies including the best-selling Steak & Kidney as well as classic flavours such as Chicken & Mushroom and Minced Beef & Onion plus its plant-based options, ensuring shops are well-stocked with something for everyone.
