Farnham’s at Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan and Perfect Plaice of Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, are the latest shops to win a visit from a Frymax Ambassador in the Frymax Fry to the Max prize draw.

The two fish and chip shops were selected at random from all the entries received through Fry Magazine’s social media pages and e-mail entry. Farnham’s at Cowbridge will welcome Zohaib Hussain while Perfect Plaice of Oswaldtwistle will host Nigel Hodgson. They join a growing list of winners that include Bishopston Fish Bar in Bristol, Jolly Friar in Alford, Macari’s in Wemyss Bay and Mike’s Famous Fish & Chips in Blackburn.

The Fry to the Max prize draw is aimed at helping operators improve their businesses and maintain consistency. During their shop visits, Frymax Ambassadors work with operators to cover key areas, including preparation, portion control, customer service, oil management, and adapting to seasonal variations. They are on hand to offer practical advice, tips and innovative ideas to improve efficiency, reduce costs and boost profitability, and will also take the time to answer operators’ questions and focus on the specific challenges and opportunities facing each business.

Andrew Marriott, brand manager at Frymax, congratulated the winners, saying: “Congratulations to Farnham’s at Cowbridge and Perfect Plaice of Oswaldtwistle who will now benefit from the expertise of our long-standing Frymax Ambassadors. Their goal is to leave every winner with practical recommendations and achievable actions that will help improve performance and support their long-term success.”
