Just Eat restaurant partners can access discounts of up to 20% on catering goods after teaming up with catering equipment supplier Nisbets.

The deal sees Just Eat restaurant partners benefit from a 20% in-store and online discount on light catering goods, such as crockery, cutlery and glassware, and 10% off major catering equipment including ovens and fridges. This is said to represent an estimated saving of £1,000 annually for an existing venue and £5,000 for a new outlet, helping brands looking to expand.

It comes as 67% of restaurants cite increased ‘food and product’ costs as the issue most affecting their businesses, and is said to reinforce Just Eat’s focus on long-term partnerships that drive sustainable growth and profitability for UK restaurants up and down the UK.

Leigh Phillipson, commercial director for independent restaurants at Just Eat said: “We talk to our independent restaurant partners every single day and as a platform we’re uniquely placed to understand their challenges and support them in meaningful ways. This exclusive agreement with Nisbets will deliver market-leading discounts – not only supporting day-to-day costs but helping those who want to expand and grow their business.”

Mark Conron, group head of customer marketing & communications at Nisbets added: “We are delighted to partner with Just Eat and to be able to offer their restaurant partners discounted access to over 43,000 products available at both our retail stores and online through our website. At Nisbets we are constantly looking at ways in which to support the hospitality industry, and this is a perfect example of how two leading brands coming together can provide significant savings to independent operators.”

In addition to this new cost-saving opportunity, all Just Eat restaurant partners have access to:

A library of legal and tax resources created by specialists at Markel UK.

A rebate scheme with wholesaler Booker (including Makro). Last year, partners claimed back over £12m

50% off card machines with takepayments, who provide next day payment.

Up to 5p off per litre on fuel and 5p per kWh off EV charging at Shell.

Comparison services for commercial energy, insurance, and connectivity with Bionic.
