JJ Foodservice has unveiled plans to open a new branch in the Midlands next year, alongside its first overseas site in the Netherlands, underscoring the company’s commitment to growth and innovation in the wholesale sector.
The announcement was made at the JJ Connect conference, held at Convene in Bishopsgate, where chief operating officer Kaan Hendekli outlined the Group’s five-year expansion strategy. This includes the opening of eight new branches, with the overseas site in the Netherlands expected in 2026.
“We’re close to securing our new location for 2026 and we’re on the lookout for more,” said Kaan.
To support this growth, JJ is investing in a new 25,000 sq. ft multi-temperature facility at its Enfield headquarters, which will increase capacity across its frozen, chilled and ambient product ranges.
This investment will help JJ grow its product range to 5,000 SKUs by next year. The range has already increased to 3,800 SKUs, a 27% increase on the previous year.
“We’re not just expanding our network – we’re expanding what we can offer customers,” said Kaan. “This new space will help us serve caterers with more choice, while maintaining the same great service customers expect.”
Digital performance remains a key driver of growth for the Group, with a record 79% of orders now placed online. This has been fuelled by the rollout of in-store kiosks nationwide, along with increased usage of the JJ app, website and EDI channels, giving customers faster, more convenient ways to order.
Kaan added: ““Every investment we make is about building for long-term growth. Together, we’re shaping a more resilient future for foodservice.”
