Panasonic is offering fish and chip shops £75 off one of its most popular microwave models to help curb the effects of spiralling costs.
With world food prices at a 30-year high and operators encouraged to implement cost-saving suggestions, Panasonic says it is cutting to the chase by giving £75 off its NE-1853 microwave oven until 23rd March 2023 inclusive.
The microwave oven features 15 power levels, 30 programmes, including 5-stage heating, and a ‘heat boost’ button to give recipes a final boost of 10 or 20 seconds to bring a dish up to temperature. It also comes with a bright LCD display, dual emission (top and bottom) for even heating, a power-saving and maintenance-free LED light and a 13 amp power supply.
Andrew Whyte, product manager – kitchen appliance, Panasonic UK, says: “The IGD has warned that catering operators must expect strong cost increases for ingredients and energy, probably lasting some time so we wanted to do something that would support our customers now. That is why we are giving away a £75 voucher to spend with participating dealers, to offer a little assistance.”
