QBTEC, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of professional frying and cooking equipment, has bought the Florigo, De Kuiper and Hegro brands from its Dutch competitor Ducate.
These brands will become part of the QBTEC family, although for the immediate future they will continue to be manufactured in their current factory and sold through their existing dealership partners. The deal does not include Ducate’s cooking range brands Beuk or Horeca.com.
A statement from Florigo Frying Equipment, the UK distributor of Florigo frying ranges, reads: “This partnership marks an exciting step forward for Florigo, strengthening the brand’s position within the industry while unlocking greater resources for innovation and product development.
“Florigo will continue to proudly uphold the individuality, craftsmanship, and design excellence that have defined the brand for over two decades. By combining this heritage with QBTEC’s extensive expertise and scale, Florigo are set to deliver even higher quality equipment and service – designed to help customers serve their best, every day.”
QBTEC, based in Woerden, The Netherlands, is the umbrella organisation of six premium brands: Kiremko, Perfecta, Smitto, Qook!, Adieu and HiFri.
