There’s nothing like winning an award to give your business a boost and while shops are still revelling in their 2023 success, we’ve opened entry for our Fry Awards 2024.
Whether you’re still on a high from your triumph this year, you narrowly missed out, or you fancy putting your business forward for the first time, entry is open now at www.frymagazine.com
Why enter?
This year the coverage of our Fry Awards exceeded all our expectations with articles across many major media channels and platforms including ITV, The Mirror, The Daily Express, The Scotsman, The Scottish Sun, Manchester Evening News and Virgin Radio.
The Daily Mail even sent reporters to three winning takeaways and ran their own online feature! Coverage like this would cost individual businesses thousands of pounds, yet it’s all part of entering and winning – and it has led to shops reporting an increase in trade of up to 50%. One winning shop we spoke to sold out of fish within hours of the news breaking!
Besides the fantastic PR opportunities, the competition provides vital feedback. All businesses that enter receive a copy of their mystery dining paper, which shows clearly how the visit progressed through each stage, enabling shops to ascertain where they excelled and where improvement is required.
Entry remains anonymous and is via a simple online form that takes seconds to complete. The rest is down to our mystery diners who pay takeaways and mobiles two unannounced visits and restaurants one (although two diners can eat).
The top 50 performing takeaways and mobiles and the top 10 performing restaurants make up the winners lists.
This year we are proud to welcome two new sponsors to our Fry Awards – the popular roe brand 555 Amanda, and Kerry Foods, a leading supplier of batters, coatings, curries and gravies.
This is alongside continued sponsorship from the Norwegian Seafood Council, Pukka, KFE, NFFF, BD Signs & BDigital, Superior Beef Dripping, Friars Pride, Henry Colbeck, VA Whitley, Drywite and Frymax.
Don’t delay, enter your takeaway, restaurant or mobile unit today into the Fry Awards 2024 at www.frymagazine.com. Terms and conditions apply. Entry costs £110 per category and the competition closes at midnight on 31st October 2023. Winners will be announced in March 2024.
