Consumers can munch, nibble and chomp their way to a more sustainable future with the launch of a new edible spoon.
Made from a blend of five grains and seeds, toasted and seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg, the edible spoon from Hertfordshire-based eddys is designed to be enjoyed with sweet and savoury dishes, both hot and cold. The product is the result of three years of extensive research and development, with eddys aiming to help transform the single-use cutlery market.
The UK uses billions of single-use cutlery items each year, with only a small proportion recycled. Eddys’ solution is simple: have your spoon and eat it too.
With ambitions to partner with major QSR outlets and other foodservice operators, eddys is already in conversation with a number of leading high street brands to stock its edible spoon.
