Previously only available to the UK’s steak restaurant chains, Lamb Weston’s 19mm Triple Cooked Chunky Chips are now being rolled out to the wider foodservice market.
Part of the company’s Stealth range, the launch responds to growing demand for British produce, a consumer appetite for elevated dining quality, and chefs looking to offer more ‘’handmade without the hassle’ items on their menus.
These coated chips are Lamb Weston’s largest cut yet at 19mm and are available in 6 x 2.5kg bags. They are gluten free and made using British potatoes.
Coinciding with the launch, the product has received the ‘Approved Product’ accolade from the Craft Guild of Chefs. A panel of respected industry chefs carried out rigorous testing to determine their suitability, quality and overall product excellence.. The resulting endorsement is designed to give operators greater confidence when making purchasing decisions.
Feedback from the panel included: “A real look of homemade about them; a great crunch, but light and fluffy,” “Larger than most chips on the market,” and “You’d definitely use less on the plate due to their size.”
