The final three chippies in the running for the title of Best Newcomer at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023 have been revealed.
The top three, all of which have been in business for less than two years, are
- Haughton Fish & Chips, Stafford, Staffordshire
- Lighthouse Fisheries of Flamborough, Bridlington, Yorkshire
- Hendo’s Fish & Chips, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
All three have undergone a series of judging rounds by a panel of industry experts and will now head to the finals in London in February where the winner will be revealed.
Commenting on the shortlist, Andrew Crook, president at the NFFF, said “These businesses have opened during the most turbulent of times, so they deserve a lot of credit for building a successful business and serving their respective communities. It’s great to celebrate businesses that are continuing to succeed.”
