Mike’s Famous Fish & Chips in Aberdeen and Bishopston Fish Bar in Bristol are the second set of winners to receive a personalised visit from a Frymax Ambassador, having won the Frymax Fry to the Max prize draw.
The two fish and chip shops were randomly selected from the numerous entries received through Fry Magazine’s social media pages and e-mail entries. Mike’s Famous Fish & Chips will welcome Colin Cromar, while Bishopston Fish Bar will host Zohaib Hussain.
This is the second time Frymax has run its Fry to the Max prize draw. The first winners were Jolly Friar in Alford, Lincolnshire, and Macaris Fish & Chips in Wemyss Bay, Inverclyde, who received their ambassador visits over the summer.
The Fry to the Max prize draw is aimed at helping operators improve their businesses and maintain consistency. During their shop visits, Frymax Ambassadors will conduct comprehensive assessments that cover key areas, including preparation, portion control, customer service, oil management, and adapting to seasonal variations. They will offer practical advice, tips, and innovative ideas to improve efficiency, reduce costs and boost profitability. The ambassadors understand the daily challenges faced by chip shops and believe their insights can significantly improve a business’s chance of success.
Andrew Marriott, brand manager at Frymax, extended his congratulations to the winners: “We’re thrilled for Mike’s Famous Fish & Chips and Bishopston Fish Bar, who will now benefit from the expertise of our long-standing Frymax Ambassadors. Our previous two winners found the visits incredibly valuable, gaining insights they weren’t aware of, validating what they were already doing well, and discovering new technologies and practices to improve efficiency. I’m equally confident that the latest winners will benefit just as much.”
Thanking all shops that took part in the draw, Andrew added: “We had even more shops enter our prize draw this time than we did the first time round, which is encouraging. It’s clear operators appreciate how valuable a fresh, expert viewpoint can be.”
Mike’s Famous Fish & Chips and Bishopston Fish Bar will both receive their visits in the New Year.
