Foodservice and takeaway packaging specialist Amipak is a finalist in the Entrepreneurial Business of the Year category at this year’s UK Packaging Awards.
The expanding third-generation family business, which specialises in the manufacture of food-grade packaging from sustainable materials, marked a highly successful 12 months by making a seven-strong list of finalists.
The shortlist, in what organisers described as “an incredibly competitive year”, was revealed earlier this week, with the winners due to be announced at a gala dinner on October 19th at the Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
Josh Friedler, Amipak’s commercial director, comments: “Our inclusion as a finalist in this category is just reward for all our hard work, our efforts to create a productive, creative, and engaged workplace, and our work to reinvest in opportunities for future growth.
“Over the last two years, we have continually improved the business, grown our operations, and further enhanced our reputation. From our meticulous work to secure DIN CERTCO composability certification and Flustix plastic-free trust marks for key product ranges, to maintaining BRC AA certification and achieving FSC chain of custody, we continue to improve our ability to provide food grade packaging from sustainable materials.”
The Entrepreneurial Business of the Year award recognises smaller packaging suppliers that have combined outstanding financial, business and production performance.
