Middleton Foods embraced this year’s National Fish and Chip Day celebrations by once again feeding its local community.
Employees from the Willenhall-based family-owned and operated food manufacturer proudly served freshly cooked fish and chips to over 100 attendees of the Willenhall CHART Community Hub on Tuesday 4th June.
Speaking about supporting the local community, Ryan Baker, sales manager at Middleton Foods, comments: “Middleton Foods has long been a supporter of National Fish and Chip Day, and as a headline sponsor once again, we’re especially proud to be involved in this year’s event when it’s the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. We always love to get involved and support our community, and we’ve long been associated with the Willenhall CHART Community Hub.
“With fish and chips being such a well-loved and staple British meal, celebrating National Fish and Chip Day – which celebrates all that is great about our incredible fish and chip trade; from the fishermen and farmers; to the owners and operators who work hard to make fish and chips such an integral and enjoyable part of communities up and down the UK – by providing lunch to those at the Willenhall CHART Community Hub is a real pleasure.”
As the biggest day in the fish and chip calendar, National Fish and Chip Day has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2015 – returning in 2024 for its ninth year! The day is organised by trade organisation NEODA (the National Edible Oil Distributors Association). Find out more by visiting its website, www.nationalfishandchipday.org.uk
