Rick Stein Restaurants is celebrating 50 years since opening its Seafood Restaurant in Padstow by rolling back prices to 1975.
Having unearthed the original menu from the year The Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors, a range of classic dishes that started it all will be available at heavily discounted prices. For example, starters will include melon for just 30p, shellfish soup at 50p, and terrine of brill, salmon, and sorrel for 55p. For mains, grilled lobster is priced at £2.80, while a seafood thermidor will set customers back only £2.20. Desserts like treacle tart with cream (35p) and raspberry bavarois (30p) will finish the experience.
The special prices are available for a limited number of lunch bookings from 6th–9th February at Rick Stein’s locations in Barnes, Winchester, Marlborough, Sandbanks and Padstow.
As part of the celebrations, Rick Stein Restaurants is inviting customers to nominate someone deserving for the chance to enjoy its rolled back menu with them.
Thanking customers for being part of its story over the past five decades, Rick Stein said: “We can’t wait to welcome you to this unique celebration of food, family, and our shared love of the sea.”
Reservations go live on Friday 24th January at 10am and bookings must be made through this link only: www.rickstein.com/the-seafood-restaurant-50/rolled-back-menu/
