OiLChef is on the hunt for the UK’s biggest user of cooking oil with a device capable of reducing oil costs by 50% on offer to the winner.

The oil saving expert is running the promotion in a bid to help operators assess how much they are spending on cooking oil and look at the potential to reduce this. As well as providing the winner with their choice of OiLChef device, all entrants will receive a free trial of the kit.

Constructed of food grade stainless steel, the device slots into the well of all brands of commercial fryers. Once it starts working, the OiLChef device slows down the natural oxidation process of oil, maintaining the low viscosity of the oil and boosting its thermal conductivity. OiLChef reports oil lasts up to twice as long while food texture and taste is enhanced, leaving the fryer minutes quicker.

To enter, operators simply e-mail OiLChef@rawlingsonlane.co.uk with their business name, cooking oil usage per site, the type, and number of fryers that they use by 20th June 2025.

For operators that want to gauge an accurate calculation ahead of entering, OiLChef is offering a free audit via its website https://OiLChef.com/fryer-survey.php

Speaking about the competition, OiLChef CEO Sean Farry says: “For years we have been monitoring the UK market and know that thousands of operators are massively overspending on their cooking oil. This is problematic for a whole host of reasons, especially when it comes to operational costs. Through launching this competition, we hope operators’ eyes are opened as to how much they are spending, and also how much they can save with our easy-to-install, multi-brand-compatible frying accessory.”
