Panasonic has replaced its best-selling NE-1853 microwave oven with the new NE-1864 model which boasts the company’s energy-saving Inverter technology.
Inverter technology allows operators to cook, reheat or defrost food without creating cold spots or overcooking edges all while using less energy and producing better results.
Vegetables, for example, can be cooked on demand, rather than blanching, refreshing and reheating, resulting in fresher tasting and more vibrantly coloured veggies with, importantly, a greater amount of retained nutrients. The unit’s ability to programme multiple stage cooking, meanwhile, means the Inverter can be used to help take products from a frozen state to fully reheated in a matter of minutes.
Part of the Panasonic Professional Kitchen portfolio, the Inverter microwave is equipped with a compact and efficient power supply which makes the unit 12kg lighter than its predecessor. This means it is more portable and easier to move around for cleaning. The 1800W model measures 175mm x 330mm x 310mm (height, width, depth), features a glass door and is stackable for improved convenience.
