Isaac Fisher, managing director at Pukka, comments: “We are thrilled to once again support this year’s Fry Awards. Congratulations to all the well-deserving chippies, with a special shoutout to those receiving £500 worth of pies and a free POS Kit which includes branded indoor signage and serving solutions.
“Pies have long been a staple on fish and chip shop menus, and we’re proud to support customers during these challenging times with an additional prize.”
Pukka offers a range of pies including the best-selling Steak & Kidney as well as classic flavours such as Chicken & Mushroom and Chicken Balti plus its plant-based options, ensuring shops are well-stocked with something for everyone.
Dominic Eusden, owner of Fiddlers Elbow is one of the lucky ten receiving £500 worth of Pukka pies. He comments: “It’s great news, especially in the current times with the price of fish going up. Having another alternative that’s going to be filling and that will help keep customers coming through the door and putting money in the till is brilliant. We’ve actually had quite a few customers come in over the last couple of weeks asking for pies, so the timing is perfect.”
Planning on using his free pies in a meal deal, Dominic adds: “We’ll probably do pie, chips and a hot sauce or a drink to make it a complete meal. It gives us a bit more profit and our customers a good deal.”
