Its Standard Batter, for example, is a creamy, yellow colour when mixed with water but fries to a richer, browner batter for a crisp and smooth finish. For a lighter colour and longer holding times, Rupert’s offers its Lighter Batter, and for a rich golden finish with lower oil retention there is Golden Batter.
