How long have you worked at The Fish Bank for?
18 months now. Before that I was a dinner lady for over 20 years and although I was ready to retire from the school, I was too bored at home! A part time role at The Fish Bank came up and it’s been a great fit – good fun, nice and busy and spotlessly clean.
What are your responsibilities?
I work two shifts on the front counter and two shifts on chips. 
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I really like chatting to the customers and being in charge of the chip pans.
What’s your least favourite part of the job?
Nothing really, maybe emptying the scrap bin.
What is it that you like about working at The Fish Bank?
I feel relaxed here, we have a really good laugh, our younger colleagues keep me feeling young and I like how active the role is.
How do you feel about being nominated as an unsung hero?
I’m a bit embarrassed, I’ve never been nominated for anything before. But I’m really proud that Jonathan feels this way.
