Online food ordering platform Foodhub has launched a ‘Love Local’ campaign that rewards customers for placing orders with their local independent takeaway.
Customers that make an order at a local takeaway restaurant through Foodhub until the 1st May will be entered into the draw to win a discount, depending on how many times they order.
Those ordering three times via the app or website will have the chance to win £3 off, those who choose a takeaway four times can win £4 off, and those chomping through five meals could win a £5 voucher.
Foodhub says it wants to champion those independent takeaways that are the cornerstones of communities right across the UK.
Local charities also set to benefit from the initiative with Foodhub saying it will donate hot meals to good causes within the community once a local takeaway or restaurant receives a set amount of orders via its platform.
Foodhub spokesperson Emma Stockman, said: “It is so important that we try and support the fantastic independent local takeaways that are part of every community up and down the country.
“Our Love Local initiative is designed to do just that, whilst also rewarding customers who order locally as well as supporting local charities.”
