Peter’s Fish Factory has been well known for quality seaside fish and chips in Ramsgate and Margate for over 30 years. Situated in a former Victorian tearoom next to the harbour and beach, Peter Curtis’ Ramsgate factory is now the proud site of a new three pan Hewigo high efficiency range. What’s more, a similar range for Margate is already on order for early 2023.
Peter speaks highly of Hewigo, commenting: “My previous Hewigo range was 20 years old and still very reliable, but technology moves on and with energy prices as they are I went for the high efficiency range. I’ve been monitoring it regularly and I am already saving costs. The maintenance contract is very useful and great value. I know I can expect a prompt response to any problems or queries.”
The range is finished with 3D art-deco panels with glitter-ball effect inserts. Multi-colour LED lighting adds visual attraction especially when the front doors of the shop are completely open.
Keeping guard is a huge suspended model of a marlin which Peter bought from a local artist. “It is a real talking point and particularly popular with children,” he says.
Being in a tourism area, walk-in is a large part of Peter’s trade, so he has decided against a “click & collect” system, preferring a personal connection with his customers.
