Papa’s Fish & Chips has moved inland with the opening of a new site in Sheffield today.
The chain, which operates in coastal areas including Hull, Blackpool, Cleethorpes and Whitby, has opened a 200-seater restaurant and takeaway in Beighton in a former Indian restaurant next to Crystal Parks shopping centre.
To mark the opening of its 10th branch, Papa’s is selling portions of regular fish and chips for just 1p today instead of its usual price of £11.99.
The Sheffield restaurant, which is open seven days a week, has outside seating, a fully licensed bar and offers gluten free fish and chips every day. Vegetarian options are also available.
Papa’s was founded in 1966 and is currently run by third-generation friers Dino and George Papadamou. As well as restaurants and takeaways, Papa’s also operates drive-throughs at two of its Hull sites.
