What’s the secret to running a great fish and chip shop?

Not at all! It’s just another way for customers to order. We still take phone orders and walk-ins, so everyone has an option that suits them.
Has the system helped boost order value?
Definitely! The system can suggest upgrades like larger portions, sides, or drinks. Customers are much more likely to add extras when they see the options, which has increased our average order value.
Was the system easy for staff to learn?
Aye, very. The interface is simple, and once they get the hang of it, it’s second nature. It’s also helped me handle pre-orders remotely, which is a huge plus.
Are you working fewer hours now?
Yes, the system has taken a huge load off. I can monitor everything from anywhere and even take scheduled orders days in advance, giving us more time to prep for orders and decide on delivery routes.
What insights do you get now that you didn’t before?
I can see scheduled pre-orders in advance, plan delivery routes, track sales, monitor staff performance, and see when we’re busiest or quietest. It helps us plan smarter.
What do you think the future holds for tech in fish and chip shops?
We’ll probably see more automation, but no matter how orders come in, the focus will always be on quality food and service. The right tech just makes it easier to manage everything so we can concentrate on cooking and customer experience.
