Holland’s hunt for elite taste testers to join Pie Panel



Holland’s Pies is searching for five pie and pud fans to join an elite Pie Panel which will taste and review its product range.


Meeting every six months at the Holland’s Pies factory in Baxenden, Lancashire, the chosen five will get to taste and review products alongside Holland’s newly appointed chief PIEologist, Helen Henry. In addition, Pie Panelists will receive a year’s supply of pies and puds after every single meeting and have exclusive access to brand new product ranges to try before anyone else.

Entrants don’t require any previous experience, but it’s essential that they’re keen, enthusiastic pie lovers with a love for shortcrust pastry!

The Pie Panel follows the introduction of Holland’s Pies’ Best Ever pie range which includes even more tasty fillings and improved recipes. Whilst the range is already much loved, the Holland’s team is always looking for ways to further improve its range – and the Pie Panel will ensure customer feedback continues to be a key part of its product development.

Helen Henry, chief PIEologist at Holland’s Pies, commented: “We’re excited to announce that we’ll be choosing five lucky fans to become part of our exclusive Pie Panel. We’re looking for people who are passionate about pies and who eat, sleep and dream about pies. They will taste and feedback on our Best Ever range and will be rewarded with mountains of pies and puds to take home!

“By introducing this Pie Panel, we hope to continue to ‘PIEfect’ our range and maintain and grow our loyal fan base within the North West. Whilst we know our products are already much loved, we wouldn’t be doing our job to the best that we possibly can if we didn’t provide our fans an opportunity to ensure our pies & puds are the best they can be.”

Holland’s Pies’ Best Ever chilled range is now available in chippies while a frozen range will be rolled out by the end of the December.

To be in with a chance of becoming a Pie Panelist, entrants must email piepanel@hollandspies.co.uk telling Holland’s Pies, in no more than 250 words and in the most creative way possible, why they’re the most deserving of a coveted place on the Pie Panel. Applications close on Friday 12th October.
