Florigo Holland, the Dutch company that manufactures Florigo high efficiency frying ranges, has been sold to a private equity firm.
Convent Capital is focused on medium-sized companies within the Benelux and invests in companies that have a strong track record and where it sees strategic and operational opportunities to create sustainable value.
The sale follows the decision by Ries and Ad Goes, two of the three sons of Florigo founder Floris Goes, to retire. Both will remain at the Florigo factory in Woerden, Netherlands, for the time being to ensure the transition runs smoothly.
Convent Capital comprises a young team and already owns businesses similar to Florigo. It is anticipated that the purchase will see the Florigo product range increase as well as new technologies explored.
A spokesperson for Florigo UK, which sells the ranges into fish and chip shops here, says: “We’re really excited for what's to come and look forward to the company growing.”
Florigo Holland has been manufacturing high efficiency frying ranges for over 50 years. The UK sales office opened in Redditch, Worcestershire, in 2004.
