FreeFrom Eating Out Awards 2018 open for entry





                       



Fish and chip shops are being encouraged to enter the 2018 FreeFrom Eating Out Awards which open for entry today.

Designed to recognise and reward those outlets successfully catering for customers with dietary requirements, there are 10 categories to enter including the Fish and Chip Shops award, sponsored once again by Middleton Foods.

There are two new categories this year that may also be of interest to fish and chip shops - FreeFrom Newbies for outlets that have been offering a free from/allergy aware menu for two years or less, and Street Foods and Takeaways, which covers market stalls, street vendors and takeaways.

Making a return once again this year is The Creme de la Creme award, a category which is only open to entrants who have won their categories in previous years, as well as a Focus on Gluten award for establishments that have been awarded Coeliac UK's GF accreditation.

Last year nine fish and chip shops were recognised at the awards, taking gold, silver and bronze.

Entry closes on Friday 27th July although those submitted before the Sunday 17th June will receive a 10% discount on their entry fees.

A shortlist will be published in late October and the awards presentation will follow on the 20th November at Food Matters Live at London's Excel.
