Is your glass half full or half empty?

Always half full. I’m just a positive person.

How did you get in to the industry? 

My Grandad came over from Cyprus in 1962 and opened his own fish and chip shop. Fish and chips is part of our DNA!

If you could change jobs with anyone else for the day who would it be?
My architect because I love design but now don’t have enough time. I designed my first shop myself!

What’s your favourite film?

Godfather II. It gives me a feeling of how it must have felt for immigrants moving to a new country and the challenge of starting with nothing.

What was the first music single you bought?

Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit - at the time it suited my mood!

Do you have a nickname?

Ban the man! Most people get confused with Banico so I have always been nicknamed Ban!

What did you want to be as a child?

An architect - I loved drawing and designing.

If you could have anyone join your team who would it be? 

Peter Kay to keep everyone happy and laughing all the time!

What's your favourite food? 

Mixed kebab (Cypriot). I love mixed kebab and crave these throughout the year. When we visit Cyprus, the first thing we do when we arrive is find the best mixed kebab!

What sports team do you support? 

Liverpool FC because I am a scouser and supported them since I was little.

If you were prime minister for a day what’s the first thing you would do?
Tax the higher earners more to then go easier on the lower earners.

If you could go back in time what year would you choose?

The 1900s to see the Liverpool docks thriving and see all the hustling.

Do you have any hobbies?

Playing guitar, playing piano and spending time with my four children and wife, Jodie.
