Vegetables are ‘kale’ing’ the shots

Move over fruit because it now seems vegetables are leading the smoothie charge, says London-based Love Taste.

With four flavours available that mix fruit and veg, its smoothies come in frozen pouches which are simply blended straight from the freezer with either apple or orange juice.

Flavours include Broccoli and the Beast, a combination of broccoli, spinach, celery, mango, pineapple and banana, and Doctor Beet made using beetroot, carrot and mango.

Each smoothie provides one of the recommended five a day, is a high source of vitamins and is also fat free. With a cost per serving of 90p and a recommended retail price of £2.95, each smoothie boasts a 70% gross profit. Branded cups, lids, straws and point of sale are also available.
