Shaun Hamilton, a fish frier and Elvis impersonator from the Blue Lagoon in Largs, Scotland, will sing to millions this weekend as X Factor sponsor Just Eat unveils its entertaining idents
The idents, which are short clips that appear at the start and end of ad breaks, star nine singing chefs and delivery drivers from restaurants available on the Just Eat platform.
Just Eat put the real heroes of the business - its 28,000 restaurant partners- at the heart of its landmark sponsorship. Budding performers who usually cook the nation’s favourite takeaways have been given a chance to step into the spotlight and entertain the nation on primetime TV.
Shaun was one of 90 chosen following an online video entry performance in which he sang I’m All Shook Up by Elvis Presley whilst shaking salt and vinegar on to chips. He was then invited to London to record his performance in a studio, before being handpicked for the final line up.
Shaun will delight viewers by singing All Out of Love by Air Supply and Reef’s Place Your Hands. The ident will feature Shaun back in the kitchen, preparing fish and chips while soulfully singing his chosen tune.
The Blue Lagoon is a popular fish and chip restaurant, with several branches across Scotland.

Throughout the series, Just Eat will be offering customers exclusive access to The X Factor, including behind the scenes content and ticket giveaways. A Just Eat X Factor Jukebox will also take to the streets, offering fans a chance to win tickets to The X Factor final.
