National wholesaler JJ Food Service has launched a range of wild, line-caught, fully traceable and individually quick frozen (IQF) Icelandic cod and haddock.
Using the hook and line method, wild fish are caught live and stored on ice in prime condition before being filleted and frozen. The result is a consistently high-quality, natural fillet with minimal environmental impact. The fish are sustainably sourced and fully traceable.
Chief products officer at JJ Food Service, Ali Guvemli, comments: “Quality and consistency means everything to our customers. The fish are individually quick frozen to support portion control, which is an important way to maintain good profit margins.
“With IQF our customers don’t use more than they need, helping to save costs and reduce waste.”
The new Icelandic range is available across all eleven UK branches of JJ Food Service in a wide range of skin-on and skin-off sizes.
