Holland’s new Big Eats range offers 25% more pie

Holland’s Pies has launched a new range boasting approximately 25% more pie, without any cost increase or change to the recipe.

The Big Eats range is available to fish and chip shops across the North West and features three of its most popular flavours – Potato & Meat, Steak & Kidney and Cheese & Onion – as well as a brand new Peppered Steak variety. The launch is supported with a full point of sale package which includes an A2 poster and a counter top strut card.

By introducing this exclusive range, Holland’s hopes to provide its loyal and longstanding chippy customers with a competitive edge whilst ensuring consumers get greater value for their money.

Chris Clark, van sales manager at Holland’s Pies, comments: “Research shows that shoppers are shopping around more to make the most of their budgets and also that they love our signature taste. With this in mind, we worked hard to develop a product that would allow chip shops to differentiate themselves. Being able to offer a bigger pie, with the same great taste, at no extra cost is something we were very passionate about."

Holland’s plans to roll out the Big Eats range to areas such a Cumbria, North Wales and Cheshire over the coming weeks, as well as expand the line up with additional flavours.

Strips-tease

Frozen food distributor Central Foods has added to its battered and breaded chicken options with the launch of its new Southern fried crispy chicken breast strips.

Described as fulfilling customer demand for something that’s spicy and flavoursome, the strips can be served as finger food or added to a wrap, a tortilla, a sub-roll or a salad box.

Making portion control easy, operators simply defrost the amount they need, depending on whether they are serving to adults or children, or whether the product is being used as a snack or part of a larger meal.

The Southern fried crispy chicken breast strips are made from whole breast meat and are milk free, egg free, halal approved and do not contain hydrogenated fats or MSG. They are available in 2kg packs, with each strip roughly 45g each.
