Scandia Foods has launched a new range of gluten free fishcakes, making it easier for chippies to cater for both regular customers and those following free from diets.
With four varieties to choose from - cod, salmon, smoked haddock and crab - the Ockery fishcakes are made using MSC certified fish and coated in a gluten free crumb. They also contain no wheat, dairy, nuts or soya and feature Coeliac UK’s Crossed Grain Symbol.
Available in three sizes - 90g, 60g and 30g - the frozen fishcakes not only offer menu flexibility by catering for adults, children and those customers wanting a smaller portion, but also enable friers to reducing stock lines and freezer space by providing a safe product that all customers can enjoy.
The Ockery range boasts low salt and sugar levels and high protein content - the cod fishcakes as an example contain 65% cod.
