Christmas dinner off the menu at Wetherspoons

Pub group Wetherspoons is taking a more casual approach to its festive food offering this year by scraping the traditional Christmas dinner.

In its place, customers are being offered yuletide beef burger including cranberry and brie, turkey pie and vegetarian Wellington. A Christmas themed-buffet will also be available comprising options such as turkey wraps and turkey or bacon paninis.

The menu changes follow a controversial decision by Wetherspoons earlier in the year to scrap its Sunday Roasts altogether in favour of all day-dining options such as sharing platters, burgers and burritos.

The chain claims its new festive offering is in-line with what other high street restaurant operators are doing.
