Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips will soon be available in selected Punch Taverns as part of the restaurant chain’s ongoing expansion programme.
The details of the deal are yet to be disclosed but we are lead to believe it will be much more than just adding the popular dish to the pub chain's menus.
Duncan Garrood, CEO of Punch Taverns, which owns over 3,000 licensed premises in the UK, said: “Fish and chips are incredibly popular in British pubs and we are delighted to work with a company which shares our passion for offering the very best quality food and experiences for our customers.
“This partnership gives us the opportunity to bring together Great British Pub hospitality and the most famous British Fish and Chips brand in key locations across our estate. We have agreed an initial period of exclusivity and are now in the process of identifying suitable sites of which the first two are scheduled to launch in early 2016.”
Joe Teixeira, CEO of Harry Ramsden’s, added: “Our strategic and ongoing objective is to increase the visibility and accessibility of Harry Ramsden’s outlets across the UK therefore we are delighted to partner with Punch Taverns in this new venture, which will play a key role in allowing us to achieve that particular ambition.
“Punch Taverns’ great pubs are at the heart of their local communities so this new partnership presents an ideal opportunity for us to engage with our traditional customer base and even more significantly, introduce the Harry Ramsden’s brand to a whole new generation.”
