M&J Seafood has Christmas all wrapped up this year with a range of in season fish and seafood.
Its Icelandic char, for example, is a great alternative to salmon with the same coral colour but with a milder and sweeter taste and a more delicate texture. Alternatively, why not try its sloe gin smoked salmon, which comes from a sustainable smokery situated on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean. This Salmon is dry-cured and smoked over oak chips before being marinated in sloe gin and smoked again. Finally, it is left to mature before being cut into slices.
Also available is an MSC crab range sustainably caught using creels or pots on the seabed a few miles off the Shetland Coast, and Queen scallops which are fished daily from the clear, deep waters that surround the Isle of Man and are hand-shucked.
