Mitch Tonks is set to open his fourth outlet under the Rockfish banner in Brixham, Devon, on Thursday 30th April
The site, set within Brixham fish market, comprises a takeaway downstairs alongside a fish preparation area as well as a dedicated Rockfish staff training academy. Upstairs, with unrivalled views of the inner harbour and the bay, is the restaurant with seating indoors and outside for 170 diners. There is also a bar where diners can enjoy a pre or post meal drink.
Open seven days a week, Rockfish Brixham will offer lunch and dinner with the takeaway also open for breakfast Monday to Friday. This is the first Rockfish to offer a breakfast menu which will include a scallop and bacon roll and a Rockfish fried egg.
Mitch comments: “Since visiting Sydney fish market some years ago, it has been a dream of mine to open a fish restaurant right where the fish is sourced, on the fish market. And living in Brixham myself, looking out towards the fish market and regularly buying at the market I've always wanted to open right here, just three meters away from where the boats land their fish.
“We’ve been quite overwhelmed by the amount of interest and support we've had from our customers and from locals but also further afield, which has been really encouraging. I can’t wait for the moment when we open the doors!"
Mitch currently owns three other outlets in Dartmouth, Plymouth and Torquay.
