With provenance still high on the agenda, Taylors of Harrogate has expanded its single origin coffee range with five new varieties.
These latest products reflect the intense and unique flavours of the destinations they are sourced from which include Colombia, Rwanda, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru.
Colombia Cali Caremelo, for example, is sourced from the foothills of the Andes for a medium-bodied coffee with a hint of tropical fruit and caramel notes. Rwanda Lake Kivu, meanwhile, is grown in volcanic soil on the slopes high above the lake, giving a citric aroma, crisp acidity, red berry fruit flavours and a butter toffee finish.
The new products, which are available in a larger and more convenient 1kg pack sizes, take the range of roast and ground coffees to nine. This gives friers plenty of opportunity to differentiate their menus from competitors, and in turn command a higher price point.
