Nortech Foods has received Red Tractor certification, which means for the first time ever friers will be able to buy Red Tractor Assured dripping.
The news will see the Red Tractor logo applied to boxes of Superior Beef Dripping, which is made using 100% British beef from certified suppliers.
The Red Tractor logo indicates food that has been produced safely in the UK to certain standards and can be fully traced back to the farm. More than 600 companies and brands use the logo, which appears on around £12 billion worth of food products every year.
Alan Hackett, sales and commercial manager at Nortech Foods, comments: “Food provenance and origin have never been more important so we’re really proud to be able to use the Red Tractor logo on our Superior Beef Dripping. It provides clear food labelling about the quality and sourcing of our product.
“To be the first supplier to offer Red Tractor Assured dripping is excellent news as friers can trust the tractor as a sign of high standards of food safety, animal welfare, environmental protection and origin.”
Superior is a refined and deodorised 100% British beef dripping which is non hydrogenated and is naturally low in trans fats.
