Following on from the success of its ‘GoLo’ campaign, the low sodium salt brand LoSalt has secured a listing with Henry Colbeck.
The wholesaler, which supplies fish and chip shops in the North East of England, North Yorkshire and Scotland, is now stocking 3kg drums of LoSalt, which is said to have all the flavour of regular salt but with 66% less sodium.
To help raise awareness of the issue of too much sodium in the diet, LoSalt is taking a branded van to popular seaside resorts of Scarborough, Great Yarmouth, Barry, Exmouth and Southsea where it will spend a day on the seafront talking to beachgoers about the importance of reducing salt intake and offering tastings of LoSalt.
Information about local chip shops who are trialing LoSalt will be available to the public and promoted to the local media.
Caroline Klinge, sales and marketing manager at LoSalt, said: “It’s been fantastic to see the fish and chip shop industry getting behind this campaign and demonstrating that chip shops care about giving customers healthier options. This promotional tour is about taking the message out there further to highlight the great work that is happening.
“We’re also delighted that Henry Colbeck is now listing LoSalt to offer chip shops in those areas an easy way to re-order.”
Free GoLo trial kits are still available to any shops who are yet to try it and include a 3kg drum of LoSalt, branded shakers, posters, badges and wobblers to promote it in the shop. Simply click here
