Making a welcome addition to any eat-in menu or specials board is a new, luxury range of fish cakes from Larry’s Fishcakes.
Called the ‘Fine Dining Range’, they are available through Smales and come in four varieties – Line Caught Haddock, Kedgeree, Scottish Salmon and Thai Style Northumbrian Crab Cake.
Each is made with only the finest and freshest ingredients and completely free of any additives.
The Line Caught Haddock variety, for example, includes prime fillets of line caught haddock, chunks of maris piper potato, onion, parsley and cream, and can be served with a range of dips, salad or just good old chips.
Meanwhile, the Thai Style Northumbrian Crab Cake fuses brown crab meat and whitefish fillets with red pepper, chilli, garlic and lemongrass to pack a real punch. Great temed with a sweet chilli dip.
The 113g fish cakes are available in packs of 24 and can be deep fried at 170°C for 6-7 minutes. Alternatively, they can be shallow fried or brushed with a little oil and oven baked at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
