Lamb Weston has launched a new Sweet Potato Fries range exclusively for the foodservice market.
Sweet ‘n Savour fries, which are available in Crispy and Ribble variants, are made from specially selected sweet potatoes and coated with a savoury seasoning. They make an ideal accompaniment to fish, chicken, burgers and BBQ style foods but work equally well served as a snack on their own.
While both varieties are said to give a satisfying crunch, the Ribble cut offers a greater surface area for the coating, enhancing the flavoursome taste experience and increasing the crispness of the fry.
For optimum flavour and crispness, friers are advised to deep fry in vegetable oil for two minutes, 45 seconds at 175°C. Alternatively, they can be cooked in an oven for 12 minutes at 200°C for a more intense flavour.
