Friars Pride is extending its distribution in the South West of England with the acquisition of Doubles Food and Drink in Poole, Dorset.
The depot becomes the fifth in the Friar’s Pride portfolio, adding to its other locations in Peterborough, Norwich, Nottingham and Basildon.
As well as giving customers in the South West access to Friars Pride’s comprehensive product portfolio of fish, fats and oils, frozen and dried goods, drinks and packaging, the acquisition enables friers to purchase products that are exclusive to The Q Partnership and Friars Pride. These include 42nd Street Range, Q Frying Fats, FriWite and Q Brand Products.
While customers of Doubles Food and Drink will see their deliveries continue as normal, Friars Pride lorries will gradually take over the service. These vehicles benefit from temperature controlled compartments which ensure frozen goods are delivered in optimum condition all throughout the year.
Customers will automatically receive the wholesaler’s bi-monthly magazine full of exclusive promotions, and can also sign up to its Save & Select reward scheme whereby points are accrued on participating products and exchanged for high street gift vouchers.
Delighted to welcome the additional depot, MD of Friars Pride Rebecca Lord says: “The acquisition of Doubles Food and Drink means growth for Friars Pride. Customers can grow with us due to the continuity of supply into a larger distribution area. An additional depot enables us to extend the high quality service and family values we currently offer to our customers in the fish and chip and fast food industry.”
