To cater for the needs of customers in the North West who tend to prefer a crumblier pastry, Pukka Pies has added a new shortcrust pie to its range.
The pie is available in six flavours – Steak & Kidney, Chicken & Mushroom, Minced Beef & Onion, All Steak, Potato & Meat and Potato, Cheese & Onion – with colour co-ordinated foils for easy identification.
The shortcrust pies will see their first public unveiling at Innovations 2013 at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton, this Sunday, where they will be supported by a new range of point of sale material.
Colin Heathfield, sales controller at Pukka Pies, said: “We are always looking for better ways to support and promote sales for all of our customers. We have listened to our customers and have introduced this new pie in six different flavours to not only strengthen but to enhance sales in the North West.”
Founded in 1963 by current chairman Trevor Storer, Pukka Pies is celebrating 50 years in business this year. The company has grown from the family kitchen to produce 60 million pies a year.
