Seasonings add flavour to grilled menus



McCormick has launched a new range of seasonings designed to add flavour to grilled fish, meat, chicken and vegetables.


Already a well-known brand in the US, and launched into the UK retail sector last year, Schwartz Grill Mates comprise six varieties including Punchy Peppercorn – a blend of black, green, pink and Szechuan peppercorns with cloves and coriander – and Deep South Brown Sugar – a sweet and spicy seasoning mix with a hint of whisky flavour.

The seasonings are available in jars (Deep South Brown Sugar, Montreal Steak, Smokey Texan) or adjustable grinders (Punchy Peppercorn, Herb Fusion, Garlic and Herb Twist), and can be used before or after cooking.

Commenting on the launch, Warren Wells, commercial director, McCormick (UK), said: “We took this successful brand and developed it especially for chefs in order to bring a real solution for those wanting to incorporate the flavours of the US grill on their menus, in line with the trends seen on the high street.”
