Winning recipe becomes a reality

King Frost has launched a new limited edition fish cake in conjunction with leading frier John McNeill, owner of Scooby Snax in Brightlingsea, Essex.

Called Regal Lincolnshire Fishcake, it is made with a blend of fish, potato, chives, cheese and gherkins. Available frozen in 24 × 113g cases, they are quick and easy to cook – simply deep fry at 180°C for six minutes or shallow fry for 11 minutes.

The winning recipe was created by John as part of last year’s King Frost challenge in which all the finalists of the National Fish & Chip Awards were asked to invent a new product for the fish and chip shop market.
