Just Eat hits record November in UK



Black Friday weekend saw Just Eat take 1.5 million orders, making it the busiest ever Friday for the online food delivery company and contributing to the biggest month in Just Eat’s history in the UK.

 
Following the bumper November, Just Eat took orders for a record number of meals during this weekend’s X-Factor Live Final, fulfilling 574,000 takeaway on the Saturday – its biggest ever day on record.
 
The company, whose network of restaurant partners deliver to 95% of UK postcodes, saw hunger peak between 6.00pm and 7.15pm on Saturday as an average of 31 orders were placed per second by its customer base of over 11 million in the UK. The top three cuisines hungry Brits opted for were Italian/Pizza, Chinese and Indian.
 
The record-breaking weekends come as Just Eat also announces that Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) will join high street favourites including KFC, Burger King®and Subway on its platform.
