Pop-up restaurant dedicated to halloumi opens



A pop-up restaurant with halloumi in every course will be opening for one week in Hoxton, London, next month.


Organised by Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) as a way of showcasing its national cheese and enticing people to visit the island, the restaurant will open at 100 Hoxton, with diners able to select individual dishes or a full tasting experience featuring every item on a sharing platter for two people, priced at £26.

The menu comprises halloumi and cauliflower fritters, chargrilled halloumi flatbread, crumbed halloumi fingers and even a halloumi ice cream to finish.

Orestis Rossides, UK director for CTO, comments: “Halloumi is Cyprus' most popular cheese and we're so excited to be able to bring a key element of Cypriot culture to our pop-up venture with 100 Hoxton.”
